Although we have discussed many technologies during the last two days, I have not discussed the actual differences between Web 1.0 and 2.0. In basic terms, Web 1.0 refers to the technologies and web sites that we went to for information only and web 2.0 are the technologies that incorporate collaboration and communication of that information.
Web 2.0 technologies we have talked about:
RSS
Blogs
Wikis
Social bookmarking
Which one of these tools do you see yourselves implementing in your classroom and how might you use it?

I would like to use the wiki collaboration with my class although the management is difficult. I am going to introduce it to county SS teachers as we start a new year with new books and new standards. We can work on new lessons together.
I have been using my school blog regularly last year and plan to use it even more efficiently in the coming school year. I find blogs very useful in communicating homework, links to printable assignments as well as web assignments. All the stuff is available for the students and I keep myself organized that way.
FLICKR is a source that I will refer my students to and wikis might also come in handy, especially for webquest feedbacks and discussions.

I am excited about using a blog this year. Our school website has a section entitled Homework Hotline where I have traditionally posted messages for students and parents regarding assignments, tests, etc. However, the link is somewhat difficult to locate. I'm hopeful the blog will prove to be a more effective tool.
I would like to use a blog next year to communicate with parents and students. As a TAG teacher I do not meet daily with my students so I feel this will be very helpful with posting assignments, dates, and upcoming activities etc.
I'm not exactly sure how I can implement Wikis in the elementary setting, but I do plan to investigate further.@
I feel that I have been introduced to a whole new world! There are so many great ideas out there on the many blogs I've added to my Blogline! Personally I will be using the blogs to find new ideas and communicate with expert techy teachers! (I have probably spent 5 hours since we got out of class yesterday looking...I need to get a life)
For my parents and students I will be creating a Blog.
I need to learn a little more about Flikr and Wiki before I would feel comfortable even trying it.
I am excited to enhance my teaching with all of this new and excititng stuff!!
I will use the blog in my classroom for a communication tool. I can communicate with the teachers who teach my subject area and reflect on lessons that we have planned together. I will continue to use RSS for keeping up with sites that will help me plan and I will use it to collaborate with other teachers on lessons. I can also send my team teachers lesson planning sites that they can use to incorporate technology into their lessons.

Learning about blogs and wikis has opening a whole new world for me. I’ve got a lot to learn. I am looking forward to using a blog with my classes this year. I am going to also suggest using a blog with my special education department as a central place for us all to communicate.
